We understand that maximizing your dental insurance benefits is an important aspect to help you achieve your optimal oral health. We often receive the question, “Why don’t you participate with my insurance?”. We wanted to take a moment to explain a little bit more about dental insurance. Your dental coverage is a contract between you and your employer and that insurance benefits paid by your carrier typically max out between $1,000-$1,500 per year. There are certain services that can be excluded based on the contract between your dental carrier and your employer based on their plan selections. We always suggest that you contact your insurance carrier and ask them how your plan can be used in our office and how that might be different in a in network office.

While we are in network with Health Partners, we are not in-network providers for other insurance plans. We have many patients that choose us because of the quality of care we provide and often benefits are the similar if in or out of network. We will perform a complimentary dental benefits analysis and we will help you maximize your coverage so that you can achieve the best results possible. Insurance companies are very different than medical plans and are constantly changing terms and levels. There are over 3000 plans in the state of MN and each person’s employer might have multiple levels and plans.

The care we recommend is always based on achieving the best possible result for your specific dental needs and is not based on what your employer and insurance have dictated in their plan limitations.
